We design the exact HRSG you need
Our HRSGs operate in combined gas-steam, solar thermal or cogeneration cycles. They are particularly suited for cycling operations with frequent start-ups and shutdowns. We master both vertical and horizontal flow HRSG technologies, whether conventional or once through.
Our boilers are installed behind gas turbines:
- of any power rating from 25 MW ISO to 500+ MW ISO
- of any brand: GE, MHPS, Ansaldo, Siemens and others
- burning any type of fuels: natural gas, refinery gas, synthetic gas, green hydrogen, light and heavy crude oils.
John Cockerill’s horizontal flow heat recovery steam generators (HRSGs) are one of the most reliable technologies to meet the even more demanding requirements in terms of operating conditions.
Their modular design allows:
- manufacturing, transportation & construction costs
- optimization of fuel consumption
- to operate in cycles with frequent start-ups and shutdowns
- the integration of post-combustion burners and catalysts, essential for regulating gas emissions into the atmosphere.
- to operate for cogeneration plants
In case of on-site reduced footprint, vertical gas flow HRSGs across serpentine heat exchangers and with no superheater quenching are ideal. A vertical design facilitates internal accessibility, which improves maintainability and reduces generator maintenance costs. In addition, this type of modules can offer a high level of prefabrication, allowing hydrotests in workshops and easier and cost-effective assembly with hydraulic lifting instead of using large cranes.
One of the latest generations of vertical boilers is the John Cockerill Once Through Boiler. Without any high-pressure drum, it guarantees optimized increasing pressure power, high efficiency, and it is able to support unlimited daily cycling, while being more economical.
Custom-made Equipment
John Cockerill Energy can also propose specific equipment according to clients’ needs: additional combustion burners, degassing tarpaulins, SCR, CO catalysts for NOx reduction, boiler building, auxiliary systems, soot blowers, combustion air fans, combustion gas bypass equipment, …
Power, high efficiency, and the ability to support unlimited daily cycling, while being more economical.
