“Je Décarbone”: successful launch for this French energy initiative to which John Cockerill is committed

IDécarbone Expert was held on Monday 10 October in Paris (France) in the presence of Roland Lescure, Minister Delegate for Industry. “Je Décarbone”, the French hub for energy savings and decarbonation, organised its first meeting under the aegis of political decision-makers, members of the Core Team of which John Cockerill is a member, and partner companies. This national meeting of decarbonation industrialists aims at facilitating contacts between solution providers via the “Je Décarbone” platform.

The first IDécarbone Expert meeting brought together nearly 400 experts in decarbonization and energy savings: solution providers or decarbonization coaches. 40 technologies manufactured in France were presented and more than 600 business meetings were organized. A mobilization pact was signed by the State, the 13 companies sponsoring “Je Décarbone” and 25 associations.

Represented by Raphael Tilot (President of our Renewables Sector), John Cockerill committed, along with other companies in the sector, to contribute to the objectives of carbon neutrality by 2050 and energy savings in industry. Raphael Tilot insisted on the relevance of hydrogen, solar and integrated renewable solutions to decarbonize industry and transport.

This day is a first step in bringing together experts in decarbonization: manufacturers, consultants, integrators, associations to share and develop French expertise. As a major player in the energy transition, John Cockerill is pleased to contribute and share its expertise.
