Discover John Cockerill’s French manufacture of fill packs for the Hamon® cooling towers
March 21st 2024
Located in Arrou (France) since 1978, our John Cockerill Hamon factory covers an area of 80,000 m² and employs 35 employees specialising in the manufacture of fill packs. Consisting of thermoformed virgin or recycled PVC sheets assembled in the workshop, this Hamon® equipment increases the exchange surface between water and ambient air inside a cooling tower, whose thermal efficiency and power output are conditioned by the quality of this exchange.
This product is also used for rainwater retention basins and wastewater treatment. Up to 250,000 m³ of Hamon® fill packs can be manufactured in Arrou every year.
The workshop is also equipped with 60,000m² of warehousing and it supports the R&D department of John Cockerill Hamon in developing new products in collaboration with our test center in Drogenbos (Belgium).
Our manufacturing skills combined with our expertise in design, R&D, on-site supervision, and commissioning, as well as our global presence as a leader constitute a major asset in the international cooling systems market. With all our teams, we help our customers meet the needs of our times.
